No one's religious sentiments can be hurt: Prime Minister

 Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that no one's religious sentiments can be hurt while calling on everyone to respect different views and religions while keeping the tradition of contemporary Bengal. On the occasion of Durga Puja, he made this call while exchanging greetings with Sanatan religious people present at Dhakeshwari National Temple arena in a video conference from Gana Bhavan on Tuesday afternoon. The Prime Minister said that no one can hurt the religious sentiments of any religion. No one can say anything hurtful to religious sentiments. This applies to any religion.

He said, if we believe that this world is created by the creator, created by God, in whatever power he calls; Everyone who celebrates in whatever way they believe should be respected, no one should be looked down upon.

Highlighting the generosity of Islam, Sheikh Hasina said, "Our religion is Islam, it is a very generous religion. In our religion, we have instructions to show respect to all religions." The Prime Minister said that Bangladesh has always been a country of communal harmony. He said, we want those who were born in this country, those who live in this country or those who are citizens of Bangladesh, regardless of their religion, should practice their religion freely.

Sheikh Hasina said, we always try so that our country can always run with non-communal spirit. If there is an accident somewhere, I would request you to pay attention to what measures have been taken by the government against it without making it too big. I would also like your cooperation with that. The Prime Minister expressed grief and condolence over the boat capsizing in Panchagarh while on his way to attend Mahalaya.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed fears that the global recession may take a severe form next year. He said, he went to the United Nations and discussed with the leaders of different countries. Discussions have been held with the Secretary General of the organization. Everyone is very worried that there could be a severe famine in 2023. An economic downturn could be more widespread. The Prime Minister urged everyone to prepare keeping this in mind.

Stating that benefits like the Muslim Heba Act have been introduced for the Hindu community, the Prime Minister said the biggest complaint was the Enemy Property Act. We have canceled and changed that too. I have made the arrangement that anyone can enjoy the right to their property. At this time, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urged wealthy people of all religions to stand by the side in the service of people through the welfare trust.
